 200 ml of coconut oil

½ an onion, chopped

(1 cup curry leaves optional) 


Heat coconut oil in a pot.

Add onion (chopped onion / onion pest) to hot oil and mix well.After the first boil, reduce the gas.

Boil the mixture while stirring and let the juice burn.When the water gets burnt and oil starts appearing on the edges.

Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a few hours.Filter the remaining mixture with a muslin cloth.

Now your onion oil is ready.

 **Coconut oil is used in this variant as a carrier oil, but we already know that it comes with its own benefits. After all, it provides deep hydration to both your hair and scalp!
